Below you will find a list of frequently asked questions to help you navigate your wedding videography process. Please contact me if you have a question not listed here.
For the past seven years, I have had the honor to capture couples’ most special moments on video. Thank you for taking the time to inquire about my wedding films.
Alpine Tree Films began on the beach in North Carolina, but I now reside in the small mountain town of Buena Vista, Colorado. I serve all of Colorado with no travel fees. I am willing to negotiate travel to the states of North Carolina and Hawaii.
To get the true feel of your wedding day, I like to give myself the freedom of 12 hours for the Feature Film Experience and 8 hours of coverage for the Highlights or Ceremony Experiences. As we discuss your wedding film, you let me know what is most important to you. Sparkler exit? Your maid-of-honor is a slam poet? CrossFit workout with your groomsmen? I’m ready for it all!
I am a one-woman show, and I’ve developed the perfect wedding day flow for myself to create your wedding film.
First, I’d love to meet you either over the phone or coffee. Creating art is an intimate venture, and I think it’s important to have a quick conversation before you book. I’ll send you a proposed contract to sign electronically and an invoice for 50% of the contract total, which acts as your deposit. You can pay by check. The final 50% payment is due 1 month before your wedding date. Pricing for packages begins at $5,600.
This is one of my favorite parts of the wedding day: working with your photographer. I consider myself and the photographer “Team Visual”, and I love being part of this team. Photographers are great directors. I let the photo team lead, and I capture along their side. I am looking for laughter, movement, and fun in-between-posing-moments, and I need to give a very little direction to capture the authentic moments of the day.
I license music for wedding films from http://www.themusicbed.com. I have had many couples create a free playlist on this site for me to choose from to make sure I get the right style for their wedding film. This helps me easily connect the spirit of your wedding day to music, and it’s also a fun thing to do with your fiancé. Otherwise, I am happy to pick the music, and I choose songs based on the emotions I have captured.
No, I do not offer RAW footage. I can assure you that in my post-production process that I select the best-shot moments to create your films. Sending you a hard drive with hundreds of disconnected files is just not practical. This is why I create the Ceremony or Documentary Films so that you can have all the moments captured with multiple camera angles synced perfectly with stunning audio.
Within 1 week of your wedding, I can send you a 1-minute teaser so you have something to watch and share with family and friends. The Teaser Film can be an add-on to any of your packages but it is included with the Documentary Experience. You can expect the rest of your wedding film(s) between 1-4 months after your wedding date.
I send you links via Vimeo and Dropbox that allow you to share with friends and family and download the file forever.
I want you to love your film. All revisions can be sent within the first two weeks that you receive your films.
