Hannah + Mike

Some couples leave a lasting impression, and Hannah and Mike are most definitely one of those pairs. I first had the honor of filming their intimate elopement in 2020, held at a private family home during a time when celebrations were quiet and close to the heart. With just eleven of their closest family members present, it was one of those rare, sacred gatherings where the love was palpable, and the laughter came easy. It was during that day that I truly got to know Hannah and Mike — a couple with a fun, easy kind of love that radiates comfort and joy. Being in their presence just makes sense. Then, a year later, I had the absolute pleasure of capturing their big celebration at Camp Hale in the Colorado Rockies — a stunning fall day filled with vibrant colors, heartfelt reunions, and a collective exhale of joy. The mountains stood tall around them, the air was crisp with golden leaves, and love echoed in every direction.

Spending two years with these two — from their quiet vows to their full-blown celebration — was an honor I won’t forget. Their story is a beautiful reminder that love, in all its forms and stages, deserves to be celebrated.

Matt + Meggy

Some love stories begin in high school. Others in college. But Matt and Meggy’s story? It started in the maternity ward. Yes, really. When their mothers delivered their younger siblings just doors apart, these two crossed paths at the age of three — and the universe never quite let them drift far from one another again. From first introductions in hospital hallways to sharing vows in the golden light of Steamboat Springs, their connection has truly stood the test of time. Their wedding day was nothing short of magical. Among breathtaking mountain views and the joyful company of family and friends, Matt and Meggy celebrated a love that’s quite literally been decades in the making. And just when we thought it couldn’t get more heart-melting, the band Magic Giant performed a custom version of one of their songs, rewritten to tell Matt and Meggy’s story. It was a heartfelt and unforgettable moment that perfectly captured the spirit of the day.

Michelle + Amasa

“When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive — to breathe, to think, to enjoy, and to love.” — Marcus Aurelius (or maybe just Amasa’s best man). Celebrating Amasa and Michellle at The Manor House in the foothills of Colorado’s Front Range was nothing short of magical. The evening was elegant, heartfelt, and full of genuine joy — the kind of celebration that leaves you glowing long after the last dance. One of the greatest honors of this work is getting to witness the chapters of a family’s story unfold. Just two years ago, I had the pleasure of filming Amasa’s sister’s wedding. To now capture his own love story felt like a full-circle moment — creating lasting memories for the same family, woven through time.

Kaily + Will

Kaily’s sister and Will’s future mother-in-law first met as strangers during a routine bank transaction. A bit of small talk quickly revealed an unexpected connection — Kaily and Will sounded perfect for each other; they just didn’t know it yet. At the time, Will was traveling the world, but soon after, he and Kaily began texting. One day, he wrote, “If you are who I think you are, then I need to meet you in person.” He flew across the globe to do just that — and from that moment on, everything changed. Kaily joined him on his adventures, and two soulmates set off on a shared journey. This Solstice weekend, they celebrated their beautiful love story surrounded by family and friends.

Susan + James

Some weddings don’t just happen in a day — they unfold over several sweet, soul-filled ones. Susan and James’ wedding was one of those. We gathered with their closest family and friends at the beautiful Blue Lake Ranch in Durango, Colorado, where the celebration stretched into a full week of laughter, connection, and deep exhalations. The entire experience felt like a retreat — the kind of celebration where time slows down, love lingers, and everyone gets to really be there. Their wedding film reflects that same spaciousness. This is a special kind of video I create for destination weddings — one that allows you to steep longer in the story. Not just the ceremony and the dancing, but the in-between moments too: morning coffee with loved ones, long conversations on porches, sunlit dinners under the trees. This is the kind of experience I’ve come to realize I love the most — when couples turn their wedding into a full-on vacation with their people.

Susan has since become a dear friend (and now, a second shooter on my team!). You might just see her beside me filming your day someday. But before that, she was the radiant bride at the heart of this celebration — grounded, graceful, and so clearly in love with James and the beautiful community they’ve built together.

It was an absolute joy to witness and capture it all.

Kelly + Eddie

From the first joke to the final mic drop, Kelly and Eddie’s wedding day was pure entertainment — the kind of celebration where you can’t stop smiling, and your cheeks hurt from laughing. These two are absolutely hilarious, and their wedding reflected every ounce of their playful, dynamic energy. Set at the stunning Villa Parker in Colorado — a Mediterranean-style villa tucked into the Front Range — their day was a mix of elegance and full-blown fun. One of the most creative touches? A customized hot chocolate bar where guests found their seating assignments, complete with all the fixings. It was cozy, unexpected, and totally them. The ceremony was heartfelt, the toasts were hysterical, and the dance floor? Legendary. Every song the DJ played somehow became the song of the night, with the crowd going harder and the energy building with each track. Just when you thought it couldn't get any better, it did. Kelly and Eddie reminded us all what it’s really about: joy, connection, and not taking yourself too seriously. Their love is the kind that fills a room — bright, playful, and full of life. Capturing their day was an absolute blast and an experience I won’t soon forget.

Ellory + Connor

Stevie Nicks wrote Landslide while gazing out at a grove of aspen trees, contemplating the ever-changing nature of life. How perfect, then, that Ellory and Connor began their ceremony with a live rendition of that very song — performed beautifully by funkiphino — surrounded by golden aspens, fluttering leaves, and so much love. I’ve had the honor of capturing many moments for this incredible family over the years — from Ellory’s cousin Ian’s wedding to her sister’s, and now this beautiful day. Each celebration feels like a reunion, and I’ve come to adore the joyful, musical, and deeply connected spirit they bring to every gathering. One of my favorite moments? Watching aunts and cousins once again come together in song for the bride and groom — a heartfelt tradition that never fails to move me. The whole day radiated warmth, fun, and the kind of love that feels like home. It’s such a gift to witness a family grow and evolve over time, and to play a small part in preserving those memories. Ellory and Connor’s day was yet another unforgettable chapter in a story I’m honored to keep telling.

Jordyn + Ty

Ty proposed to Jordyn at this very spot one year before they exchanged vows. At the time, Ty had faked an injury to stay behind during their planned Colorado trip — a clever excuse that set the stage for a perfect surprise. While Jordyn and her dad were enjoying the beauty of Paradise Cove, she noticed someone at the top of the cliff who looked strikingly like her partner, poised to jump. She even snapped a photo to show Ty later, amazed at the resemblance. But it was Ty — and moments later, he proposed. A year later, they returned to that same breathtaking place to elope, standing beneath the rocks where it all began and, this time, taking the leap together. This is a beautiful example of the kind of elopement-style video I love to create — short, sweet, and centered on just the couple and their unique love story. A quiet, adventurous celebration with big heart and deep meaning.

Larry + Sally

Larry and Sally had us in stitches all day — two people so clearly in love, laughing their way through one of the most meaningful days of their lives. Their joy was effortless, their connection undeniable, and their humor downright contagious. They chose to spend their wedding weekend tucked away in a cozy cabin with a private hot springs, where they exchanged vows in an intimate, heartfelt ceremony. The celebration continued with a beautiful candlelit dinner at the Surf Hotel — quiet, romantic, and just right for the two of them. This is another kind of elopement-style video I love to create — one where I get to spend more intentional time with the couple, capturing not just the ceremony, but the atmosphere, the slow moments, and the energy of the whole experience. Eloping in this way is such an easeful, deeply personal way to honor love, and witnessing it always feels like a gift.

Shayna + Cameron

Shayna and Cameron’s wedding at Blanc in Denver, Colorado was bursting with energy, joy, and deep connection. I always love the rich tradition and celebratory spirit of a Jewish wedding, and this day was no exception. The way these two danced had the entire room smiling through tears — their spark was infectious, and their love felt equal parts fun, grounded, and alive. From the heartfelt ceremony to the epic dance floor, every moment was filled with presence, laughter, and meaning. Shayna and Cameron’s bond as both partners and best friends made this celebration one to remember. It was such an honor to capture the beauty, tradition, and wild joy of it all.

Megan & Jake

Alyson filmed our wedding in June and not only was she such a joy to have at the event, but the end product was more than I could have ever hoped for. Alyson has this ability to pair audio and video in the most seamless, beautiful way that captures all of the emotions of your special day. She goes above and beyond to ensure your voice is heard and that you receive all of the special moments that you want to hold on to. I cannot recommend Alyson any higher - she is truly amazing.

As a photographer and videographer, I knew it would be hard to find someone who could meet the standards I had for my wedding video. I looked for weeks for someone who edits true to life, tells a great story, and has the talent to capture and convey that in a condensed film. When I found Alyson, I immediately knew she was the one. Our wedding/elopement was cold, rainy, and hectic - and STILL, Alyson BEYOND exceeded my expectations. Alyson is kind, laid back, and professional - I honestly could not have asked for more.

Our wedding video by Alpine Tree Films is absolute perfection. It captures all the most special moments as an exquisite work of art. Alyson is so technically excellent at having multiple cameras and microphones in all the right places while staying nearly invisible to the events of the day. She is also a gifted storyteller and artist who weaves video and audio clips into a masterpiece and family treasure.

Alyson is simply an amazing wedding videographer. Her presence on the day of our wedding was so positive and seamless and it felt like she was an old friend eager to celebrate our day. She did an amazing job capturing our day with both beautiful landscape and detailed shots, as well as effortlessly capturing the joy. She made a perfect short clip of the day that I rewatch frequently, as well as a great documentary edit. We have recommended her for 3 more weddings and she has absolutely crushed each one of them!

My husband and I had the unique pleasure of having Alyson capture two events through pandemic wedding planning. We immediately felt at ease and were encouraged to plan our wedding day(s) however we wanted; knowing she’d be there to discreetly film our memories made. This was important to us, as our main focus was to actually ENJOY the days with the people we love. Her ability to make you feel comfortable while in front of a camera while also maintaining authenticity is next-level. We are certain we will treasure her work forever.
